pay $1 billion for the cross-platform IM service
Google is said to be in talks with WhatsApp about a
potential buy-out of the cross- platform IM
application. WhatsApp turns over around $100
million a year and sources claim it'll cost Google $1
billion to buy-out the company.
Google is believed to have propositioned WhatsApp
in December. Facebook has also been linked to a
potential buy-out of the IM company, apparently it
too approached WhatsApp in Q4 2012.
